Chapped lip season is right around the corner, but this year there’s an unexpected curveball: the masks many of us are wearing on the regular.
Shop new Lip Butters in Passionfruit, Juicy Peach, Sweet Grapefruit, Red Licorice and Lemon Tonic.
As the temperatures drop you might notice that your lips are getting drier and even — in less fortunate cases — chapped. Du-du-duuuh! Don’t panic. That’s because there’s less moisture hanging out in the air when it gets colder. On top of that, your lips don’t produce as much natural oil to keep them moisturised as you might find on other places, like the roots of your hair, for natural conditioning. Throw a mask in the mix, where your lips are constantly brushing against a piece of cloth for extended periods of time, wicking that precious moisture away with every vowel and consonant your lips form and you have a recipe for thirsty, thirsty lips.
Hydrated lips are happy lips! Keep your pout plump with these tips.
Would you want to apply something to your lips all day that you wouldn’t feel comfortable ingesting? Our natural standard means that everything we make is safe for you and the planet. That means our Lip Butters are only made from all-natural (tasty!) ingredients that you never have to think twice about putting on your mouth.
What makes a natural Lip Butter so nourishing and effective? It’s the simple, natural ingredients, of course.
Beeswax has natural healing properties while also helping to protect your lips and seal that moisture in. Because Beeswax is hypoallergenic and anti-inflammatory it also helps soothe irritated skin while being a gentle choice for those with allergies, sensitivities or skin conditions, like rosacea or eczema. The anti-germicidal properties of beeswax have been found to help heal minor skin cuts, abrasions, scrapes and wounds. Plus, all the local Beeswax we use at Rocky comes from a family-run apiary in the Peace River region of Alberta.
Our organic, fair trade, non-GMO Shea Butter comes from a women’s collective in Ghana, so the richness in your Lip Butter not only loves your skin but is made with love. Packed with antioxidants, Shea Butter not only keeps your skin soft, it helps with anti-aging and locks int hat moisture.
Sesame Oil helps trap and keep moisture in your skin for long-lasting hydration and is absorbed easily by your skin, which is also what makes it an amazing Body Oil!
You’ll find Cocoa butter in all of our Lip Butters for its rich hydrating goodness. Cocoa Butter is the fat derived from the cocoa bean. To make Cocoa Butter, the seeds of the cacao bean are fermented in banana leaves. They are then dried, roasted and pressed to release the luxurious butter.
Did we mention it’s Lip Fest? That means we have five new, fun, limited edition Lip Butter flavours for you to try. What better way to get excited about keeping your lips hydrated? Using only natural flavours (as always) we’ve concocted these fun little creations in Juicy Peach, Sweet Grapefruit, Red Licorice, Lemon Tonic and Passionfruit. We hope you love them as much as we do.
Once you’ve buffed away any dry skin from your lips, slap on your new favourite Lip Butter and go!
It’s time to add one more amazing use to the list of our cult favourite Breakout Buster: keeping “maskne” at bay. What’s maskne, you might ask? It’s the new term floating around for mask-induced blemishes, a blend of the words “mask” and “acne”. If you find the delicate skin fo your cheeks or around your mouth being irritated by mask-wearing, swipe some Breakout Buster on those areas. Antibacterial Tea Tree Oil will keep problem bacteria from calling your pores home, while gentle Almond Oil and healing Beeswax protect your skin, blended with loads of other therapeutic ingredients.

Rocky Mountain lip butters are the best! They moisturize well, and last longer than any I have tried. I keep one in every room of my house.
