The Women's Soap Run

The Women’s Soap Run is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of movement, connection, and the beauty of the natural world. It’s about building a community where women can grow, learn, and inspire—to live in harmony with the Earth and each other, one stride at a time.

Set against Canmore’s breathtaking views, this event is designed to bring women together to revel in the outdoors, embrace the joy of running, and connect with one another. Along the way, you’ll find well-being stations and a welcoming, non-competitive atmosphere, capped off by a healthy post-race celebration.

ORIGIN STORY

The run started with a simple goal: to create fun, safe, and inclusive events where women can embrace an active, healthy, and eco-conscious lifestyle. Staying true to this mission, proceeds from the run support Fast & Female, a registered Canadian charity that empowers girls through sport, physical activity, and education.

A big inspiration behind the run is Jane Green, who started running just before her 48th birthday. At first, she could barely make it to the end of the street, but she kept going, step by step. A year later, she completed her first half marathon.

“Running has given me so much confidence in myself. It has taught me that I can do anything that life throws at me. It has taught me that I am capable of pushing myself past what I thought my limits were both physically and mentally. It has given me a whole new outlook on life. Anyone can do it. Start walking or running and bring yourself health and happiness. I love to run and am really looking forward to the next Women’s Soap Run.”– Jane Green

Jane’s story is a perfect example of how running can transform not just your physical fitness, but your mindset too. And she’s not alone in experiencing that change...
