It is well known, at this point, that this little root packs a powerful anti-inflammatory punch.
Turmeric has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic Medicine for a variety of ailments. And its debut into the world of skin care comes as no surprise.
Although we know true health and beauty starts on inside we're aren't going to say no to a little outside help.
Turmerics anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce redness and calm irritation while its antibacterial properties can help disinfect, and heal the skin, as well as combat acne! Yes, please.
If you want to put turmeric to the test here is a face mask you can try at home!
Instructions:
Grind the oats in a food processor to make a powder and then add all the ingredients into a bowl. Mix until all of the ingredients are combined to make a paste. Make sure to apply over a sink, and wear a shirt that you're not worried about staining yellow. Leave the mask on for 15 - 20 minutes and then rinse off gently with warm water.
Note: Turmeric has a tendency to tint anything it touches yellow so you may need to wash your face a couple of times to rinse off the mask.
