With Mother's Day just around the corner, we reached out to our rocky moms for their best advice to new moms. We asked what they wish they knew when their little bundles of joy arrived.
Remember to be compassionate with yourself, don't be afraid to accept help, and, like Lynn says, you've got this mama!
"Practice self care…I cannot stress this enough! Taking time for yourself each day, even if it’s 10 minutes, can make a world of a difference for your overall well being. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help and join Mom groups online. I don’t know where I would be without my Canadian August 2019 Mamas group on Facebook! You’re kids don’t need everything, but you can give them the world by just being there for them. Slow down and savour the little moments and just remember YOU GOT THIS MAMA!"
- Lynn
"My advice is to let every new mom know that you’re the only one that knows exactly what YOUR baby needs. You can’t hold your baby too much. Breastfed? Awesome! Formula fed! Fantastic!Pumping? So great! Supplementing? Amazing! Cloth diapers? Good for you! Disposables? Love it! Take the rest that you need. The dishes, the laundry, the messy floor will all be there tomorrow. Allow yourself grace."

“Don't be too hard on yourself, as long as your baby is fed, clothes and breathing you are doing a good job!”
- April
"Advice I would give to new moms is ask for and accept all the help because this is so hard! It’s difficult to let people help you sometimes out of pride or guilt, but that all needs to go out the window because it truly does take a village!
I wish someone had told me that it’s ok not to bond with your baby right away. You might need time to get to know each other."
