Now, if you’re thinking about switching to using natural hair care you likely have some questions ranging from "What’s in it?" to "Does it actually clean my hair?".
We believe in natural hair care because we know it brings out the best in your hair. Since we get a lot questions about its effectiveness, we're here to share all the answers with you.
Choose the best fit for your hair type and pair it with our ultimate natural conditioner. It’s that simple—one shampoo and one conditioner and your hair care routine is complete. The latest hair care technology respects your hair and scalp, and the result is healthy, balanced, beautiful hair
Rosemary is renowned for its scalp-stimulating properties, while flaxseed oil nourishes. These key ingredients make our Rosemary Mint Shampoo a favourite among customers dealing with a dry scalp. If you're experiencing scalp clarity issues, such as buildup leading to itchiness, consider giving our Vanilla Coconut Shampoo a try.
We have just the combination for you. Start with our Vanilla Coconut Shampoo to help boost the look of volume to your fine hair. Next, follow up with any one of our nourishing conditioners, ensuring to only apply it to the ends of your hair, avoiding the roots.
All our shampoo formulas are formulated for a healthy, balanced hair and scalp - whether wavy, curly or straight. If your curly hair is often thirsty or dry, our Cedarwood & Lime Shampoo may be your perfect hydration match.
Yes, our Wild Kindness Natural Hair Care line is safe for colour treated hair. The colour on your hair is usually deposited on the hair shaft through a chemical process. Our hair care products will not negatively interact with this process or its effects.
As natural products can take some getting used to, we recommend trying out your new hair care routine for 3-4 weeks to allow your scalp time to adjust. If you find your products are not working out, please reach out to us via phone, live chat or email and we’ll be happy to assist.
Great question! Soap nuts are a berry (and not actually a nut) so they do not contain the protein allergens found in true nuts.
Our shampoos are nourishing on their own, but to round out your hair care routine we recommend pairing your shampoo with one of our natural conditioners. Formulated to add moisture, shine and to detangle your hair, our conditioners are suitable for all hair types and are available in a range of scents.
To get the most out of your natural conditioner, we recommend using a small amount on the tips of your hair for soft, smooth, detangled strands. Explore our range of Natural Conditioners.
All our natural conditioners are made from the same hydrating and nourishing base formula, with scents designed to complement every shampoo scent. If your hair tends to be dry or is damaged, try pairing your favourite natural conditioner with our Cedarwood & Lime Shampoo.
Yes. We’ve never used sulfates in any of our products and we never will.
Sulfates are commonly used in non-natural hair care to create a lather and loosen up oils on your hair. The problem? Well, sulfates (or SLS) are a known irritant, causing a host of skin problems, including dryness. The chemical is also harmful for the environment once washed down the drain.
The lather is produced naturally from the saponins in the soap nut extract working together with coco betaine, which is made from coconut oil and beetroot extract.
Yes, it really does! Our Wild Kindness Shampoo uses some powerful natural, plant-based ingredients to keep your hair feeling clean and healthy:
Soap nut aqueous extract & sodium cocoyl glutamate: These plant-based cleansers gently remove dirt and unwanted build-up. Sodium cocoyl glutamate is an amino acid (the building blocks of protein) and soap nut extract is the cleanser from the shell of the soapberry.
Cellulose: Cellulose is the fibre component of a plant’s structure. This agent binds to the clean hair to help rebuild and condition, improving shine, smoothness, moisture-retention and combing.
Our Wild Kindness Hair Care line all have a biological neutral pH, however, the Vanilla Coconut Shampoo has a slightly higher pH to give thinner hair volume without weighing it down. All the pHs are between 5-7.
Our Wild Kindness Hair Care Line is not considered an effective treatment for psoriasis.
For children under two years, we advise only using only a small amount of our Scent Free Shampoo however this product is not tested for use on infants. For older children, any formula can be used however many kids love our Root Beer Shampoo.
Our formulas are not formulated with gluten-containing ingredients, however, our facility is not considered gluten-free and so we cannot guarantee that there has not been cross-contamination. If you have a gluten contact skin allergy, we would not recommend use.
Our hair care products have not been formulated with any animal products and we never test on animals.
The slight scent comes from the natural scent of the soap nut extract and smells similar to tamarind. There are no essentials oils added to our scent free products.
The light brown colour of these products comes from the humic acid and soap nut extract which will disappear as soon as you lather up. No colour will deposit on to your hair, tub or shower.
The light yellow comes from the blood orange essential oil.
