Together we are stronger.

We all have our closest girlfriends that we turn to when we are in need. We call on them whether we need advice on a situation, to vent about our frustrations or have a giggle, gain upliftment when we are feeling down or even just to hear their opinion on our chosen outfit for the night.

My entire life has been turned upside down in the past few months and my immediate reaction the night my world came crashing down was to call my best friend. She lives 14 hours away and in fact all of my closest girlfriends are scattered all over the country. Going through this tough time has never been harder without my closest friends here to support me. However I've grown to discover that I am not alone. Everyday I am amazed and blessed by how much love, support and confidence has been showered on me by new and wonderful people in my life.There is an indescribable energy and connection we have as women.Whether you have known someone for years or have only just met, it doesn’t seem to matter to us. When we are there for each other, we can inspire and empower each other to be the best version of ourselves. When we, as women, stand together amazing things can happen!

Monica Krestchmer underwent a difficult time in her life and was inspired by this female energy, leading her to launch the organization, Canadian Business Chicks. Her vision was simple,“Every woman has a story and together we are stronger.”Canadian Business Chicks is a national community for Canadian women to empower each other through building professional connections and sharing their passion for business. The Nest Foundation, an extension of Canadian Business Chicks, is a not-for-profit organization, which works to provide purpose and support to women who need it most. The Nest empowers women through mentorship and education. In addition to receiving support, women also need to be celebrated and recognized for their achievement and success. It is this belief that brought to life the Women of Inspiration event. This event celebrates women across the country, who have been nominated and awarded for the positive impact they have had on their local communities. This year Rocky Mountain Soap Company is thrilled to be a partner of the event, which takes place on September 30th.
